He got his truck and trailer stuck in the snow. He slept in the trailer with the dogs two nights. He was finally rescued. I just talked with him on FB.

For a lot of people that would be a real emergency, I expect for Digital it was a minor inconvenience.

Glad he is OK. Hope he had food.

He couldn;t do like the Viagra commercial and have the dogz pull the truck oot?  Musta' been stuck real bad! :(

And wow, this thread was more dramaatic than I expected. I was just expecting it to be aboot the minimal presence of RG lately!

RG is back in full horn dog mode. He made mention of that in one of his more recent posts.

I am glad you are ok-- where did you sleep?

Since I didn't know when he would get there to get me out I didn't set up the hot tent with the wood burning stove.  I slept in the little sleeping room in the front of the trailer.  My sleeping bag is rated for -60 degrees so I was very warm.  I do have a diesel heater in that room.  I turned it on once when I was changing clothes.  At the lowest setting the the thermostat keeps it at 8c (46f for those who can't convert it.  The thermostat on this Chinese heater reads in c)  That is nicer for changing clothes than the -5f it was outside.  I guess I could have kept the stinky clothes on.  The dogs don't seem to care.

You look tired.

I was tired.  didn't get much sleep the first 2 nights of the adventure.  Might as well have an adventure.  Much better than a disaster.  All of us came out of it fine but don't really want to repeat it.  Would like better results the next time. I haven't finished all the interior of the new trailer. I did learn some things I want to do and maybe a few little ones I want to change.

Glad you're ok, man. Bummer the trip didn't work out as planned.

Winter camping is a lot of fun but can get dangerous quick if you aren't prepared properly. Being tired I felt that it would be risky to continue.  It was already -5f and dropping so I thought it was time to drop out.  I did hear from the others there that by the next morning it was -22f. I had gear for that and lower but I was mentally exhausted.  That is when you make mistakes that are dangerous to you and others. I not only had myself to care for but 6 dogs too. It wasn't fair to endanger them or anyone who may have had to come assist.
