Popular Post Randomguy Posted February 11, 2021 Popular Post Share #1 Posted February 11, 2021 So I was tired and didn't want anything to eat because I didn't want to clean up after cooking and I didn't want to be cooking and I didn't want to think about cooking. I caved to the relentless pressure to leave the apartment, so I went to Chick Fil A, which might be 80 yards from the apartment. I ordered a chicken deluxe sandwich and not the meal, because I am already fat enough and why wouldn't I. I arrived home and ate a bite. It was ok, maybe too salty. That is fast food for you, they have one spice. Anyway, I had a tomato and thought I could augment that sandwich with a little extra tomato, and it was no longer way overly salty. I asked for extra pickles, because you're a heathen bastard if you don't like pickles, ya common nutbag. I found the pocket of pickles, and the high heavens parted and the angels did sing. All the while I was eating, I was thinking about Fonzie saying "Chick Fil A" and laughing, then laughed some more at the certainty that I was far from the first to think of that. I was not disappointed: 2 1 1

Longjohn ★ Posted February 11, 2021 Share #5 Posted February 11, 2021 If you need to restrict salt you have to stay away from pickles. If it was just too salty tasting but your body can handle it no problem.
ChrisL Posted February 11, 2021 Share #6 Posted February 11, 2021 We used to get Chick FIL A frequently. My son played on a field near one so we would hit it up. I would get two plain ole chicken sandwiches, chuck the bread & eat the chicken like two giant chicken nuggets dipping them in their house sauce. 1

You can actually just order the chicken patties. It’s even in the app, no need to waste the bread (or stand in line!).

Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted February 11, 2021 Share #16 Posted February 11, 2021 We stopped at Anitas’s last night and picked up breakfast burritos for dinner. Some chips and a pint of their salsa made it a meal.

Tasty but guilt- inducing.
Parr8hed Posted February 11, 2021 Share #18 Posted February 11, 2021 It would be very bad for me to live that close to one. You should try the spicy chicken sandwich. O. M. G.

Ask for extra pickles and complain about the extra salt! 46 minutes ago, Parr8hed said: It would be very bad for me to live that close to one. You should try the spicy chicken sandwich. O. M. G. I can almost throw a softball far enough to hit my local Chick-fil-a, but luckily, my waffle fries desire usually happens on a Sunday, so it is self-regulating!

It is also within 15 yards of both a McDonald's and a Wendy's. Not sure why all the fast food there, the McD's and Wendy's have been there forever. groupw Posted February 11, 2021 Share #21 Posted February 11, 2021 I like the Popeyes chicken sandwich both regular and spicy. Not sure it is as life-changing as some claim, but it is good. The nearest Chick Fil A is 100 miles away. I have eaten there a couple times, but I don't get the fuss. It's good, but not a 100 mile destination point for me. For me, it’s the opposite, I have a chick fil-a nearby, the Popeye’s is not convenient. So I’ve never been. I did stop at a Popeyes last time I drove the Turnpike to Philth-adelphia, but that was during the height of their chicken sandwich craze, so they didn’t have them in stock. I haven’t gone back. MickinMD ★ Posted February 11, 2021 Share #27 Posted February 11, 2021 I like Chick-Fil-A's food. But I haven't stopped at a fast food restaurant since last February and went to sit-down restaurants 3 times since the pandemic. No wonder I've been saving a lot.
