So I pressed 1 to talk to the 'representative'. Kept him busy for about 5 minutes before I started discussing his parentage if you catch my drift. He said that he'd be by my house in 10 minutes to shoot me. I laughed a lot and told him to come on down. I have 24 years of military experience for his ass. Of course my experience is that of an aircraft mechanic, but I do have a couple of very large wrenches to smack him around some. Not sure if you can save the number or if it can even be traced but we call the police every time one of our call center folks receives a threat like that. Just last night two kids, maybe 14 YO were “fundraising” by going door to door in my neighborhood selling candy. We get them all the time where they get inner city kids to canvass neighborhoods. I see vans drop them off & then pick them up later... Anyway I see them between rows of houses and see them peel off my way as I pull in my garage. The two kids then go in my garage so I quickly get out & escort them to the street. They go through their pitch and I politely tell them no thanks. I then told them don’t ever follow anyone into their garage. Two black kids (my city probably has less than 1% black population) entering a garage behind a parking car is going to get you hurt. I said look I’m an ex cop and I get it, your not out to hurt anyone but others won’t feel that way. People would ask if I knew about boats and water and I would tell them to relax because I was in the Navy. This seemed to simmer them down.
