I dragged a pound of 21-25 count raw deveined shrimp that's been in freezer for several months and decided to steam them. Actually I've always boiled them so I looked for web recipes and most said not to cook them directly from frozen and to put them in a steamer basket if you have one. I have one! So I soaked them in cold water for 25 min and steamed them for 5 minutes on top of the stove, in a 2 qt pot above 1/4 cup vinegar and 3/4 cup water.
