petitepedal ★ Posted March 1, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 1, 2021 Granted my arm was immobile for 2 weeks except for brief exercises I was given..twice a day.. I still wear the sling but only for sleep or if I go out..working ball and moving the arm..still have numbness in my wrist area, my thumb and occasionally the next 2 fingers To me the numbness is worse than the shoulder pain. I think it is getting better..but dang.
sheep_herder ★ Posted March 1, 2021 Share #2 Posted March 1, 2021 Took several months for my nerves to stop being funky after breaking the bone on the outside of my hand, surgery to insert a pin, and eventual removal of the pin. Friend that has been in an airplane crash and several bike accidents, indicated that was normal. Good luck with your situation.

ChrisL Posted March 1, 2021 Share #4 Posted March 1, 2021 My wife had numbness & tingling in her right thigh for months after her bike crash which the doc said was a nerve issue. Fortunately I have never had an issue with it.
Airehead Posted March 1, 2021 Share #5 Posted March 1, 2021 Einstein had issues for months after one of the nerve blocks after the plane crash but not on another occasion.
Kirby Posted March 1, 2021 Share #6 Posted March 1, 2021 I haven't dealt with these issues so far, but I hope the numbness ends soon. it sounds like a part of the healing process, but be sure to talk to your doctors if you're concerned.
