Former member Posted August 25, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 25, 2014 2oz of food, containing 13-14g of protein, for $1.79. That sounds like a ripoff to me.
Dirtyhip Posted August 25, 2014 Share #2 Posted August 25, 2014 You pay for all that nifty packaging. My trail snacks lately have been deluxe mixed nuts (no peanuts) with some dried figs or dates. It seems to work well for me. Packs well and temperature isn't a problem,
Former member Posted August 25, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted August 25, 2014 You pay for all that nifty packaging,That's the other problem I have with the product. It's a lot of packaging for a tiny amount of food.

Dirtyhip Posted August 25, 2014 Share #8 Posted August 25, 2014 But that looks like sheot! I guarantee that people will see this and think: Protein POWER! Then, they will buy it. Cmon, people don't even grate their own cheese. They would rather buy pre-grated cheese with chemicals added to prevent clumping. So many people want a quick meal on the go in a nifty package that they can toss out.

Randomguy Posted August 26, 2014 Share #12 Posted August 26, 2014 Industry loves packing. It's all about branding and eye appeal. For a lot of folks, this would be very convenient and a step away from candy bars or twinkies. How dare you people shame this, you lot of bastards make me sick. I think it is a decent idea for folks on the go who aren't accustomed to healthy options or planning ahead. I have been in airports where this would work fairly well. Once a person gets accustomed to calorie deficit, they don't need gimmicky foods to sustain them. We can go without food for a very long time, especially if the only calorie expenditure for the day is planting your ass on an airplane seat.
