Years ago a dermatologist told me not to use dryer sheets sensitive skin Any suggestions? Do those dryer balls work for static? Are there dryer sheets for sensitive skin? Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted March 28, 2021 Popular Post Share #2 Posted March 28, 2021 The machines don’t like your balls? You are the president of the board. Have them remove those machines and bring in ones that like your balls. 4 1
BuffJim Posted March 28, 2021 Share #3 Posted March 28, 2021 We just use liquid downy fabric softener. We don’t use dryer sheets. I do my laundry and BuffCarla does hers. She buys the supplies and tells me what to do. We never run out. Im more regimented. Usually do wash on Sundays. BuffCarla does it when she doesn’t have clean clothes. 1
petitepedal ★ Posted March 28, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted March 28, 2021 They seem to get wedged between the wings of the agitator and the clothes..and I end up with softener on my clothes..that isnt rinsed off.
Square Wheels Posted March 28, 2021 Share #5 Posted March 28, 2021 We use liquid fabric softener and dryer sheets, we never have static. All the products we use are dye free and fragrance free. Give those a try. Good luck finding gluten free and vegan though.
Ralphie ★ Posted March 28, 2021 Share #6 Posted March 28, 2021 Yes, I think our Bounce dryer sheets are fragrance free. Owl look. Yup, these. Thanks for reminding me I need to do laundry. Bouncy bouncy
Dirtyhip Posted March 28, 2021 Share #7 Posted March 28, 2021 Dryer sheets seem like a waste. They smell so toxic too. Completely gross and unnecessary in my opinion. We don't use those or that softener stuff. Too expensive and toxic smelling. <refraining from talking about the myriad of environmental issues with these products>
petitepedal ★ Posted March 28, 2021 Author Share #8 Posted March 28, 2021 Commercial machines don't have a place to add softener to a dispenser.....the balls have been my go to for years.

Yeah, I notced they are 'spensive in that Target link, $10 for 250. 4 cents each. I usually reuse them quite a few times, popping a new one in once in a while. By the time I wear my clothes, it has gone away. What is the big deal about static?

JerrySTL ★ Posted March 28, 2021 Share #14 Posted March 28, 2021 These will work. However don't use dryer sheets or fabric softener on you technical clothing like cycling gear. Better to let them air dry.

Randomguy Posted March 28, 2021 Share #16 Posted March 28, 2021 The new place doesn't have washers or dryers at all, but there is a super nice Chinese drop-off laundry half a block away that charges by the pound. While it is expensive, it is nice to pick up a laundry bag with everything folded perfectly.
