team scooter Posted April 10, 2021 Author Share #2 Posted April 10, 2021 Heres a handsome old gal, The Wilfred Sykes (circa 1949) that made a rare appearance in Duluth last week. I love the old vintage freighters. I believe she still has her steam turbine engines too. http://boatnerd.com/pictures/fleet/WilfredSykes.htm

team scooter Posted April 10, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted April 10, 2021 Sounds awesome to me. Maybe late September? I've been putting out suggestions to take the Miata to explore Duluth, see some waterfalls, fall colors etc, but Mrs hasn't said yes or no. Who knows, it might only be me and my shotgun seat travel buddy Maggie. Pic from last weekend when it was 75 degrees.

team scooter Posted May 20, 2021 Author Share #6 Posted May 20, 2021 Watched the Isolda try to sneak in with the fog last night. Couldn't see the 800 foot ship until it was close enough to toss a rock at it. Kinda creepy, like a ghost ship just appearing from oot of nowhere.

bikeman564™ Posted May 20, 2021 Share #8 Posted May 20, 2021 My local news in the morning shows freighters on the Detroit River in Detroit. Today the Edwin H Gott was passing thru 1004 feets.
Wilbur ★ Posted May 20, 2021 Share #9 Posted May 20, 2021 Someone should write a song about lake boats.
