Recipe called for raisins and pine nuts. I didn't have raisins and can't find them in the grocery store. They don't put them on the fruit aisle. They don't put them on the baking goods aisle. I don't know where they are, but I had craisins and that is close enough. Pine nuts mostly come from China now. Chinese grown pine nuts have a metallic taste and I won't buy them. I substituted walnuts instead.

Agreed, walnuts are a good sub.  I like cashew too, in place of pine nuts. Pine nuts are too expensive anyway.

Next time try the candy aisle. I think I saw them near the childrens fruit snacks & such when I was there Monday.

Sore arm and headache, I had relaxed today and my headache went away around 5pm. I wondered what to make for dinner - something easy.

Then I remembered I had a bag of Esskay refrigerated Creamed Chipped Beef that's been sitting in the fridge for months. I looked at the expiration date and it said Sept. 2021, so I was in business.

Creamed Chipped Beef on buttered bread plus some kielbasa and sauerkraut left over from Easter.
