Popular Post goldendesign Posted August 28, 2014 Popular Post Share #1 Posted August 28, 2014 When I found the strength to not kill myself by poisoning my body and mind, I made myself a promis to be a completely different individual. Better in all ways I thought would matter then. I have revised some aspects as to what a "better" man I should be but my main goals have stayed true. They tell you that it's one day at a time, your real struggle is between waking and sleeping. That is true but you can't guide a ship with out plotting a course. I promised myself I would get that education I never sought; was too afraid of failure to even try. It has taken three years in community college to get myself to the point where I felt the education part actually mattered. Yesterday I was accepted as a junior in the College of Engineering from the University of South Florida. Knowing I could easily fail at the task if I slipped into my well worn patterns I also promised myself I wouldn't buy anything from USF, afraid I would end up caught out in a lie, until I had that acceptance letter. I was able to go get this: Gotta admit I got a lil dusty eyed at the register. This year is turning out pretty fucking good.

Square Wheels Posted August 28, 2014 Share #6 Posted August 28, 2014 You could have bought both the hat and diploma online. I saw a package deal, $19.95 for both. You rednecks sure do things the hard way.

Why don't you just photoshop his name onto your diploma and call it done then?

Square Wheels Posted August 28, 2014 Share #12 Posted August 28, 2014 It's a great reliever getting the acceptance letter finally. Now you're getting picky. For $19.95 I can get you a hat and a diploma. The acceptance letter is free, just pay shipping and handling ($39.95 + tax).

Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted August 28, 2014 Share #14 Posted August 28, 2014 Yesterday I was accepted as a junior in the College of Engineering from the University of South Florida. Prepare thyself. Bona fide engineering degrees are veritable chick magnets. Kinda like fenders on a touring bike.
UglyBob Posted August 29, 2014 Share #15 Posted August 29, 2014 Prepare thyself. Bona fide engineering degrees are veritable chick magnets. Kinda like fenders on a touring bike. Umm... I have fenders on my touring bike. Does that make me a chick magnet?

Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted August 29, 2014 Share #18 Posted August 29, 2014 Umm... I have fenders on my touring bike. Does that make me a chick magnet? I regret to say, no, it does not. The fenders make the bike a chick magnet, not the cyclist. A good example is a puppy. A puppy is a chick magnet; the guy at the other end of the leash is not. And before you ask, attaching the fenders to yourself instead of your bike will not make you (instead of the bike) a chick magnet. Don't ask me how I know this. kingtermite Posted August 29, 2014 Share #19 Posted August 29, 2014 Excellent!!! I wish you all the luck and stuff. Now you just need a bunch of these: I used to have a bunch. Pokey Posted August 29, 2014 Share #20 Posted August 29, 2014 I used to have a bunch. They are probably still in a closet. I can send some to you if you want. Naw....I'm not an engineer. I'd be a poser if I were to use them. However I took just enough strength of material classes and such to get my butt in trouble. Kinda like having taken a number of twelve step programs, and starting my own little group therapy thing.
