What happened to global warming?

As the overall heat load increases, weather patterns change.  What was dry may become wet.  What was temperate may become cold.  What was wet may become desert but over all the earth is absorbing more heat.

Weather is not climate.

Overall the world's temperature has increased by 2 deg f since 1880.

Note that snow requires warm, moist air to collide with a cold front.

So there are predictions of more snow than usual occurring due to global warming because of more warm moist air when there are cold fronts around.

Snowy Fenway Park was on ABC News tonight.  It looked like fun!

I'm 30 miles north of Boston.  When I left Boston there was little to no accumulation.  My wife said at one point during the day there was an inch or so of snow on the driveway.  The backyard is still mostly snow covered.

A couple of CT towns had almost 8 inches.  We had snow cover for a while but later in the day the rain washed it all away.  Altitude and terrain seemed to have a lot to do with where it fell hard and where it just dusted.

I think Boston is experiencing a Little Ice Age all of its own.

Some information I found interesting, especially the discussion part where they state the earth has been ice-free for most of its history.  Not quite sure how they figured that out, but an interesting statement nonetheless.
