Mint in iced tea

Recommended Posts

I like mint in my tea but don’t do it very often. I bought a mint plant yesterday at the farmers market (for my julep). I planted it in the hippo planter that mom gave me.

Jeff, y’all put mint in y’all’s iced tea, or is that a Georgia thing?

Damn straight we do.  Go pick some out of the garden and toss it in.

Picking mint from the garden was part of setting the table at Springwood.

I used to grow mint and peppermint alongside my house in the 1' wide piece of ground that ran between the house and the sidewalk connecting front to back.  I'd pull out a few 6" long pieces and put the leaves into tea as I brewed it.  Excellent!

When it grows beyond the boundaries of the garden it smells amazing when you mow it.
