Here is the deal...take it daily..and don't  stop until what makes you sneeze is done doing it's thing..my time line has gotten worse over the years...I for sure start taking something the end of Feb..Sometimes I can be med free July and August..and November to Feb... Sometime I just say screw it and take it daily.

If you can get Blexten (bilastine), it really is worth looking at.  I have tried Zertec and Claratin but both make me drowsy.  The drug profile on bilastine shows a significant reduction of somnolence and fatigue.  This is why it is approved for aviator types.

I use a steroid nasal spray during bad allergy seasons - flonase sensimist works well for me.  Some others are too harsh for me.

I like allergra for "outdoor" allergies, but will tend to use xyzal or zyrtec for pet allergies.

Benedryl is effective, but makes me too drowsy.
