Wilbur ★ Posted May 10, 2021 Share #5 Posted May 10, 2021 I use Blexten but it is by prescription, at least here in Canada. Works well on me and does not cause drowsiness.

Doesn't Benadryl have the non-drowsy kind? But @petitepedal suggestion or Allegra? Or "suck it up, buttercup!"
petitepedal ★ Posted May 10, 2021 Share #8 Posted May 10, 2021 Here is the deal...take it daily..and don't stop until what makes you sneeze is done doing it's thing..my time line has gotten worse over the years...I for sure start taking something the end of Feb..Sometimes I can be med free July and August..and November to Feb... Sometime I just say screw it and take it daily.
Wilbur ★ Posted May 10, 2021 Share #9 Posted May 10, 2021 If you can get Blexten (bilastine), it really is worth looking at. I have tried Zertec and Claratin but both make me drowsy. The drug profile on bilastine shows a significant reduction of somnolence and fatigue. This is why it is approved for aviator types.

Kirby Posted May 11, 2021 Share #20 Posted May 11, 2021 I use a steroid nasal spray during bad allergy seasons - flonase sensimist works well for me. Some others are too harsh for me. I like allergra for "outdoor" allergies, but will tend to use xyzal or zyrtec for pet allergies. Benedryl is effective, but makes me too drowsy.
