Road Runner Posted May 12, 2021 Share #4 Posted May 12, 2021 Same reason the paste you put on your toothbrush is toothpaste. Teethpaste sounds weird.
Road Runner Posted May 12, 2021 Share #5 Posted May 12, 2021 I think most women who get a boob job probably have both breasts operated on. But no one ever calls it a "boobs" job.

Airehead Posted May 12, 2021 Share #9 Posted May 12, 2021 I have two at home, one at work, one in my backpack, and one in my travel kit. Also, likely a bunch of those ones from the dentist waiting in the closet for use.

A job is done to each boob, so I suppose it could be a boob job and still be correct.

Good question that belongs in the same pile with "pair of underpants" and why "flammable" and "inflammable" mean the same thing. I have an electric teethbrush and a soft manual toothbrush I got for the purpose of a more controlled application of Sensodyne toothpaste around tooth #31 when I began having toothaches that led to my root canal in January. Square Wheels Posted May 12, 2021 Share #13 Posted May 12, 2021 I have one brush for each tooth.
Further Posted May 13, 2021 Share #14 Posted May 13, 2021 I just use the one toothbrush to brush all my teeth. Similar to using a hair brush to brush all my hairs...very similar in fact, I think I have more hairs than tooth's....
