Airehead Posted May 15, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 15, 2021 My dad’s last golden retriever passed to the bridge today. His last standard poodle not long ago. The last time he did not need at least one big dog crate was about 1961. He and Tony the Norfolk are very sad. Me too. Feels like the end of an era. 1
AirwickWithCheese Posted May 15, 2021 Share #2 Posted May 15, 2021 I'm sorry, Aire. Is he doing ok? How about rounding up the boys and surprising him with a visit?
Kirby Posted May 15, 2021 Share #3 Posted May 15, 2021 I'm sorry. It's always hard to lose a loved animal companion but some can seem even more poignant than others.

How about rounding up the boys and surprising him with a visit? He was a mess last night. We spoke about five times between 9PM and 5AM. He is at peace. My brother went with him and others stopped by. His long term vet came even though she was off. They had him in a little garden. Offered him some steak but he was too tired to eat. It was peaceful. People are taking my dad to dinner tonight. Dog people are good supports. 1
