at the new house. Front yard has this big oak stump. Plan is to convert it to a planter. I started drilling holes and switched to a 1” spade bit. This is going to take a while.

I want a decent shell to hold potting soil and the plants. Explosives 🧨 won’t leave much to work with.

This is what I was looking for. I need to drill drain holes from the sides anyway. 🔥

Cool project. Is there a way to stabilize the wood to keep it from rotting away?

Not that I’m aware of. The planter will last as long as the stump does, then I will do something else or it’s someone else’s problem by then. 😂
