Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted May 21, 2021 Share #3 Posted May 21, 2021 Started Friday with a seven mile ride exploring the neighborhood. Work, Costco run for a brisket, then have dinner somewhere. Saturday, get the brisket on the Weber for low and slow cooking. Cut the grass and put the garden bed together. Fill with some dirt and add the plants that are in containers in the front yard. I've got two Amish Paste tomato plants, two Beefsteak tomato plants, a zucchini, some basil, Greek oregano, and Mexican oregano. I may buy a couple bush bean plants to add to the planter. Go shopping for landscape stones, a rototiller, and a chainsaw. Have a beer or two with my smoked brisket for dinner. Sunday, no plans. Work around the house. Get shit done.
JerrySTL ★ Posted May 21, 2021 Share #4 Posted May 21, 2021 44th wedding anniversary today. Going on a tandem bike ride this morning; watch grandsons this afternoon; going to the Cards-Cubs game tonight. Saturday hopefully a long bike ride on the tandem and out to eat at a nice Italian restaurant for supper. Sunday another long tandem bike ride.

MickinMD ★ Posted May 21, 2021 Share #7 Posted May 21, 2021 I'm moving lawn mowing back to Monday - "feels like 90°" today, highs in the 90's this weekend, highs projected of 72° and 78° for Mon. and Tues. Meanwhile, lots of paperwork and clean-the-apartment work.

And FTR, a 63 mile bike ride is gonna be more than enough for you this weekend. Take it slow, stop often, and enjoy the ride!
Dottleshead ★ Posted May 21, 2021 Share #10 Posted May 21, 2021 I've been on vacation all week doing various things for my father's estate. Also got a colonoscopy in there I wouldn't call it a vacation. But -- we're taking all of today and the weekend off. Probably a bike ride in there. Check. There will be a bike ride or two in there.
