I’m assuming you bought a walnut tree? Black Walnut?

Ive several out back. Very old. They drop hundreds of walnuts in the fall.

Yes. We bought two English carpathian walnut trees.  (Grafted on a black walnut root trunk.

Next year will be the start of good things. Skinning walnuts is a yucky job.

Yes. I need to wear gloves for this.   Nut trees are a gift.  I am just loving the property. I love being there.  I have such a sense of peace out there.

I have not loved my home in over ten years.  That place we remodeled and lived in, I never truly loved it.  It was purchased as a rental and then we found ourselves in it to remodel it. That relationship was more despise than love.

We really love this new home and the new property.  I have even grown to love the conex box.

How big is the tree?  If you want to optimize growth when young, you might remove the nuts so it can put that energy into growing.

I think it is about ten feet tall.  The base is about 3.5 inches wide at the bottom.

Probably big enough to start supporting and producing nuts then.  I know pecans start producing around 7 years old.

It was in a smaller pot.  It seems to be thriving now.  I have babied these things all winter, because our winter never showed up.
