That said... I had to use fountain pens in grade school (mid 60s) and I issues like @Philander Seabury . If I wasn't carful (is a kid ever carful) I'd have ink everywhere. I remember Bic ballpoint pens were banned from school for a while. Eventually... they were allowed. That's the last time I used a fountain pen.
