Kirby ★ Posted May 26, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 26, 2021 We haven't had much rain recently, and the last time a heavy rain was predicted, my town got heavy rain for about 90 seconds. They've issued a thunderstorm warning and I can see the leaves fluttering in the wind. I can hear thunder rumbles in the distance and I'm just waiting to see if we get the heavy rains they predicted. I'll keep you posted!!

Further Posted May 27, 2021 Share #4 Posted May 27, 2021 Do you need rain ? We went 11 days with no rain, that is damn near a drought in these parts. Been getting "pop up" storms the past couple days, they are very hit or miss, but I noticed a couple inches of water in a previously empty bucket, so I think we got popped. My tomato's looked a lot happier

groupw Posted May 27, 2021 Share #7 Posted May 27, 2021 I was in a race to mow the yard before the storms rolled in. I got about 3/4 done and had to call it a night. I literally got to my front porch and the heavens opened! I showered then went back out to the porch with a gin and tonic. 2

I thought I heard the rain but it turned out to be a plane.
sheep_herder ★ Posted May 27, 2021 Share #10 Posted May 27, 2021 Been raining most of the afternoon, and we are approaching 0.5" from this storm. Should get some more tonight.

maddmaxx ★ Posted May 27, 2021 Share #12 Posted May 27, 2021 We had the same thunderstorm warnings a bit farther east than you. One ripped up a town to our north but nothing but a few drops here. This morning I woke to a very gentle rain. Predictions are for rain for several days after a nice morning today. I guess this is the day I've been waiting for to put down fertilizer and seed on my lawn.
BuffJim Posted May 27, 2021 Share #13 Posted May 27, 2021 On our drive to Medina last night, it was dry until sunset. Then just passed Cleveland we hit two patches of torrential rain. The darkness made it worse. But we arrived at our hotel just fine. Today it’s off to Nashville.

I love rain, but not when I'm driving, so be safe. There was no rain by the time I went to bed. It looks like we might have gotten a little overnight, but it wasn't anything that woke me up, and certainly not a good thunderstorm.

Yep. 4 nights in Nashville with my daughter. Grand Ole Opry tomorrow, Country Music Hall of Fame Saturday, and Jack Daniel’s distillery tour Sunday. Long drive home Monday, but she pitches in with the driving.

I was hoping for an epic tale of rain, thunder, lightning, hail, and mayhem, but I got "might have rained a little"????? Maybe we need to discuss the dopey Super Mega Flower Wild Moon instead? Kirby ★ Posted May 27, 2021 Author Share #20 Posted May 27, 2021 I share your disappointment. I was all excited for a big storm only to have my hopes dashed. There's supposed to be rain the next few days, but just annoying sort of regular rain, no thundertorms.

A volcano would be overkill - raining molten lava - but a nice small hurricane would definitely bring a nice rainstorm for her to enjoy.
