Human remains discovered in Durand Eastman Park have been identified as belonging to an Irondequoit woman found dead last week.

The Monroe County medical examiner's office has positively identified the remains as those of 37-year-old Lisa Shuler.

The remains were found Monday in Durand Lake in Rochester, near the Irondequoit border, and reported to authorities. Irondequoit police and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office responded and began the recovery process.

Schuler, according to police, was found dead at her home on Culver Road on May 25. Police immediately labeled her death as "suspicious."

Ok, this helps in a follow up story, yet, questions remain.

First, Irondequoit Police say the remains discovered in Durand Lake Monday are identified as Lisa Shuler. Police say Shuler's body was first found dismembered outside her home on Culver Road last week.

Second, News10NBC tracked down details of when, where and why her boyfriend, Seth Larson, was stopped by police after Shuler's death.

Larson was pulled over for speeding by police in Maryland at 12:54 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25.
