Destination Posted September 7, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2014 I had some time off last week so I went for a bike ride. Here's a bit of what I saw along the way. Apples in an orchard south of Oliver, B.C. The K Cafe in Keremeos. The mountain in the background is K Mountain. This is most of Hedley. There are a few houses behind the gas station and museum. The Similkameen River. A deer grazes in front of the Masonic Hall in Princeton. One of many small mountain lakes west of Merritt. The murals in downtown Merritt feature many legends of country music. An old barn near Aspen Grove. The only waterfall I saw, at the edge of Princeton. The single-lane bridge at the entrance to Princeton. A piece of railway history at Teepee Lakes, between Princeton and Summerland. The long and winding road. Fortunately, this steep portion isn't very long. Climbing on this portion of road takes considerable effort.

Square Wheels Posted September 7, 2014 Share #4 Posted September 7, 2014 Nice pics. That's a steep climb. How long is it?

Destination Posted September 7, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted September 7, 2014 The steep climb is less than a kilometre long. On this loop, I had it on the downhill, which was nice. I've also gone up that hill plenty of times. It's part of around six kilometres of incline, without any flat spots for recovery.

Nate Posted September 8, 2014 Share #8 Posted September 8, 2014 nice stuff, destination. Canada looks pretty nice. How close to the US are you there? I was close to the Canadian border (close enough to see Abbotsford) 2 weeks ago and the weather up there was fantastic
Zephyr Posted September 8, 2014 Share #9 Posted September 8, 2014 Nice pics. I was through that way this summer. Took a week and headed to the interior for some exploring around. WoZ and I did the Okanagan Trestle tour with a couple friends. Beautiful country
