hate to see this...highside coming out of turn 5. Just left in a helicopter

Years ago I used to ride and race. Went to most track days at JenningsGP for the Advanced runs for a few years. First time I was there, I signed up for some classes as I was a road riding donkey and knew I'd get hurt or kill myself if I didn't have proper track training verses riding wheelies across bridges. First day the beginner training a guy high sided and landed in front of the pack, took a front wheel to the neck. Was a bad weekend to ride after that.

I hope this one turns out better than my experience.

Can you get one with air conditioning?

My son went to Japan and worked on the design of this vehicle so he knows things about it that even the mechanics don't.

Looks like a wonderful weekend. How'd you do?

It was not a race that we got points. It was just a bunch of adults acting like kids. We had a plan to put on a good show but in the first lap that plan went out the window and it turned into a full blown race.

One sidecar could not make it so we had a extra monkey. So I put Nick in the media center for a live interview while we were on the track racing. Nick said the announcer was asking me a question and I see you (I was leading the pack) come up the hill with everyone drafting you and then everyone started swapping positions and drafting each other down the front straight.

Nick said that he lost track of the interview and forgot what was asked because he was watching a awesome sidecar race.

No points races are still for valour and rights!

Well that answers it partially. Now the question remains; who won? :P

Dan May and Kayla Theisler on a 1968 BMW.

Wo46 and I were 3rd over the line.

But the true winners were the race fans of Road America.

Question is.... will you be there next weekend?

No

I might go Wednesday for a open track day on the motoplex and run the motorcycle but I was not planning on going to the race. The cars will be doing some practice on Wednesday.
