A man faces charges after three people were killed in a head-on collision on the Eastern Shore on Saturday night. The crash occurred on U.S. 13 shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday in Keller, Accomack County, Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller said. A northbound Chevy Venture crossed the center line of U.S. 13 near First Street and hit a southbound 2012 Nissan Altima, Geller said. The driver and two passengers in the Altima died at the scene. Geller identified them as Arnette N. Chandler, 58, of Roosevelt, N.Y., Diann W. Jones, 55, of Exmore and A’Jamae Jones, 12. A 13-year-old male passenger was ejected from the car and flown to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters with life-threatening injuries. Two other passengers, an 8- and 9-year-old girl, were taken to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Police say Bonifilio Velazquez, 36, of Accomac was behind the wheel. He has been charged with DUI and three counts of involuntary manslaughter. He is being held without bond at Eastern Shore Regional Jail. The drunk driver, Bonifilio Velazquez, was unharmed. jsharr ★ Posted September 10, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 10, 2014 Because sadly, the drunk never sees it coming, is all loose and relaxed, whilst the victims oft times see their fate crossing the median and have time to panic, try to escape, etc. Murder is murder.
