Popular Post Digital_photog ★ Posted July 5, 2021 Popular Post Share #1 Posted July 5, 2021 Picked them up from the transporter in Vandalia OH about 1:45 this afternoon. She was later than planned because of heavy fog in the mountains in New Hampshire had her driving 25 mph across much of the state. Now have them home and settled in. Animals are fed. Pictures will have to wait till tomorrow. I'm hot and tired and so are the puppies. Loaded in the Jeep in Vandalia for the ride home. 7 3
Airehead Posted July 5, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 5, 2021 I have been thinking of you all day. Glad it worked out. They look stressed.
Digital_photog ★ Posted July 6, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted July 6, 2021 They both got a little car sick on the 15 hour ride. They are home, have eaten and rested. Also met and played with Dad, Ike , and Border collie Lucky. They do not get to play unsupervised yet. That will be a while. Tomorrow will be their 3 month birthday. 3

Digital_photog ★ Posted July 6, 2021 Author Share #9 Posted July 6, 2021 The most I have ever run of my own at once is 9. The most I have ever run is 18. these 2 won't be running much in the team this coming winter. Only short and light training. We may have all 11 at once a few times but most runs and races will be 6 or 7.
Digital_photog ★ Posted July 6, 2021 Author Share #10 Posted July 6, 2021 They had already been traveling about 19 hours when that picture was taken. Still had another 4 hours after that.

North to south through the mountains is a little more than that.

Digital_photog ★ Posted July 6, 2021 Author Share #14 Posted July 6, 2021 benelli and Beretta here. This morning we took a trip to Tractor Supply and got a new cushion for the kennel in the truck. Some new treats, toys and fancy collars to train us to walk nice on leash. D_P says we need to behave on leash if his granddaughter is going to show us in 4H. On the way back home we stopped at the pond. The water was nice and cool on a 90 degree day. Since D_P had shoes on and didn't come in the water we went and shook next to him so he could enjoy it too. He said after lunch he may put on swim trunks (He said no one wants to see him naked) and we can go swim more and maybe go for a ride in the canoe. @Airehead Do we look less stressed than yesterday afternoon? 22 hours was a long ride to our new home. D_P said you have some puppies that may want to play in the pond with us.
Airehead Posted July 6, 2021 Share #15 Posted July 6, 2021 Yes, much more relaxed body language today. Paulie likes the water, Ryan tolerates it and Lindy says no thank you.

I think they had a kiddie pool to play in but a big pond with deep water is different.
Airehead Posted July 6, 2021 Share #17 Posted July 6, 2021 Do you have any issue with the blue green algae that is popping up every where? How is the pack getting along?

Safe for animals, fish and humans.
Digital_photog ★ Posted July 9, 2021 Author Share #19 Posted July 9, 2021 The water is pretty clear. It does have some blue dye in it. The green color you see comes from the reflection from the trees all around it. The weeds that you see behind the pups start at about 3 ft deep and go to 5 ft. Deeper it is pretty clean. I do drag those weeds out of the beach area about once a year. It is time to do that again. Puppies are doing well. Getting to know their names, walk on leash, learning sit and down pretty well but stay is not over 2 seconds. They go down for treats but pop back up. @Airehead do you want to train them for Lobo style agility?

Too bad you are so far away. Ashley could use your help training for 4H. These puppies are fast and very athletic racing lines. The hardest part would be getting their minds into it. Race bred lines have even more crazies than normal Sibes.
