Wheel's summer grilling. Needs a little marinade

I'm boiling.  The supermarket only had huge heads of cabbage when I shopped for stuffed cabbage items on Monday.

I cut out the core - great snack food! - and put it in a 5 qt. pot to boil and soften the leaves.  Only half the cabbage is under water!

I'm going to have to turn it every 15 min. and boil it for an hour or so to get it soft.

And then, Polish Piggies!:

At first, I couldn't believe that someone like SW could become a vegan.  It was hard to acknowledge, and it was maddening that someone could partake in a lifestyle so full of...wrong.  It was natural to take swipes (which were lots of fun).  I remember asking if I could convince him to reconsider by buying a burger or steaks or a medical textbook or could find helpful ways to include eggs or cheese in his cooking.  When the realization hit, it was like a slap in the face of decent eating habits, I couldn't even look at a vegetable for months, I was so bummed out.  Then I realized that it truly didn't matter what SW wanted to eat, I could just eat whatever anyway.

So there you go, the 5 stages of grief.  Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and finally acceptance.
