A good day's work in the lab.

I completely rebuilt my first DR10 drag car over the last couple of days.  This chassis was will over a year old and needed a complete overhaul.  The differential had leaked a bot of 500,000 weight silicone oil into the transmission gears.  The shocks all had air inside that wasn't supposed to be there.  All of that was rebuilt and at the same time a shorter chassis plate was put under all the other parts to fit a proposed new class of drag cars with 11" wheelbase instead of the 12.5 my other car has.  Based on everything I've learned in the last year, every piece of equipment in the car is mounted on the center line.  I was surprised when the car was put on the scales and the weights came out completely symmetrical without having to change any of the shock preloads.  That was beyond my wildest expectations.
