Square Wheels Posted September 14, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2014 I rode my bike last Sunday. I did a 1 mile run Tuesday. I did a tiny bit of upper body work at the gym Friday. Other than that nothing. :-( I was going to run yesterday, but told myself I would today. Now it's today and it's sunny and cool out and I don't want to. I suck. Road Runner Posted September 14, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 14, 2014 Nothing wrong with taking a break. It may be very beneficial in the long run. I usually take some time off from weight training in the November-December period. But I don't like to stay away from cycling too long (even if it is only indoors) for fear of losing what little stamina and strength that I may have accrued. Sometimes when I don't feel like riding, I'll just go for shorter or easy pace rides instead of not riding at all. I can understand your reluctance to run. Running sucks. TrentonMakes Posted September 14, 2014 Share #3 Posted September 14, 2014 I rode my bike 102 miles last Sunday. I fixed that for you. I think you earned a little break. But even if it's only for a little, I bet a short run or ride will make you feel better. I haven't done anything myself since last Sunday (and that was less than half the miles you did). Hoping to get out this afternoon; I have run out of time for this morning.
Ralphie ★ Posted September 14, 2014 Share #4 Posted September 14, 2014 I could never go to a gym on a beeyootiful sunny and cool day. Running is eville, so I would take a ride today, even if it is short. In fact, I already did. First time I got out early in ages, and it was marvelous.
Road Runner Posted September 14, 2014 Share #5 Posted September 14, 2014 First time I got out early in ages, and it was marvelous. I used to get up early on Sundays and go for a ride from 5:30 to 7:30 AM. It was great. No traffic and I could pretty much blow through traffic lights and such. A great time to ride. Nowadays, I am too lazy to get up that early.
