Randomguy Posted September 17, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 17, 2014 I think it would be fun, though.

kingtermite Posted September 17, 2014 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2014 Solid 6.7. I may even go to a full 7.5 for use of the donkey picture.
Dirtyhip Posted September 17, 2014 Share #4 Posted September 17, 2014 My friend has a hive. Honey bees are not aggressive at all. They are sweet. We opened up the hive the other night to check things out for space issues. I had bees crawling on me. No worries at all.

Dirtyhip Posted September 17, 2014 Share #6 Posted September 17, 2014 I have a friend here who just started keeping bees as well. She seems to be enjoying it. It's very complex. More difficult than chickens, IMO. His bees already have swarmed, we believe. They made a new queen and part of that colony took off somewhere. He is a beginner keeper. I can't believe how fast the colony grew.
Destination Posted September 18, 2014 Share #7 Posted September 18, 2014 I had summer jobs working for beekeepers when I was in high school and just afterward. Bees are fascinating creatures with much to teach.

I think she already had some problems, but I don't remember the details. I think the queen either died or was gone and she had to get a new queen or something maybe.
