Popular Post bikeman564™ Posted August 30, 2021 Popular Post Share #1 Posted August 30, 2021 I sure don't. I was on a ride, heading home and about 2 miles from home I run over a piece of something so I stop and look. The rear tire has a piece of metal, a kin to a staple sticking oot of the tire about a 1/2 inch But no leak. I can't pull it oot, so I begin to ride with it in the tire. About 100 feet later it falls oot on its own. I stop and look, see no metal, and see no hole. Also still no leak I can't see a leak w/ soap water, but will compare pressure reading from now til morning. I can't see a leak w/ soap water either. Anywho, Gatorskins rocks. 6

bikeman564™ Posted August 31, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted August 31, 2021 Edit: ok, I was incorrect. The tire lost aboot 10 psi over the last hour. I removed the tube, and found not one, but two cuts just about 6 inches apart. But only one was leaking w/ a few psi (just to see where the leak was).

az_cyclist Posted August 31, 2021 Share #9 Posted August 31, 2021 Do you patch tubes? Glad you were able to make it home. That doesn’t happen very often

That doesn’t happen very often I do patch if it's a single hole. I'm not patching this One. And yes, good to make it home. Thanks.

Razors Edge ★ Posted August 31, 2021 Share #12 Posted August 31, 2021 I always like Gatorskins. Not bulletproof, but close enough. I wonder if the pro peloton would see less nonsense in races if they went with a set of Gatorskins They sure seem to get a lot of flats at a lot of inopportune times!
