Maybe for cutting crinkle cut potato chips, although you could use it for cucumbers, squash, etc. I suppose. I imagine you could even cut a watermelon into quarters and then use that to cut the quarters into fancy wavy slices, which would look pretty cool. The rounded blade seems it might rule out soap, though, as most soap cutters appear to have a flat blade. I wonder at one point if there was a matching curved base that went with it.
