(I suppose at 101 years old, it's hard to give her the Jr. Wife title) 2

Small charter, and this is her 4th trip traveling the inside passage on this boat 'Glacier Bear'. One lady who organized the trip was also on the first trip Gwen took, and one fellow from Florida has been on all 4 trips. Mostly a photography trip, but she also enjoys fishing and crabbing. They did not get many shrimp on this trip. One never knows, she may go again next year. She would still like to photograph Orca, whales breaching, and more seals. I'll post some more photos, but here are two more for now. 4
Dottleshead ★ Posted September 9, 2021 Share #25 Posted September 9, 2021 I was thinking about going up the inland passage from the ferry out of Bellingham in October but I bought iPhones instead.

This being a smaller boat allows them access to areas the larger boats and ferries cannot reach. I am amazed at how close to shore some of the whales are sited. Must be a quick drop-off.

I've read that those smaller boat cruises -- while considerably pricier -- are all inclusive and tipping is not necessary. They say, and I don't know if it's true, when all is said and done the smaller boats are comparable to the larger boats but they go places the large and medium boats don't go. Isn't October the migration time of the year? Could be a good time to go up to creature watch.
