groupw Posted October 11, 2021 Share #1 Posted October 11, 2021 Just before my busy weeks at work, my mower started acting up. It would rev very high for a few minutes, then sputter for a couple more and die. Repeat when restarted. I didn't have time to mess with it for a couple months. Luckily, a kid down the street was able to mow for me. This weekend, I decided to figure out the issue. I figured it was the governor but moving that cable had no effect. After chasing a few settings, determined the choke temperature sensor is kaput. However for the moment, I can tweak the engine speed by moving that wire back and forth as needed. I will need to get a new sensor, over the winter, but at least I can mulch my leaves...
