ChrisL Posted October 12, 2021 Share #3 Posted October 12, 2021 We just had this discussion didn't we? My new favorite is the cosmic crisp but they must be selling last years holdovers at my LGS as they haven’t been good yet.
MoseySusan Posted October 12, 2021 Share #4 Posted October 12, 2021 The Cosmic Crisp balloon looks more like a strawberry. It landed a few feet from where we were standing, and the pilot fired his burner at us after we asked him for a card.

MickinMD ★ Posted October 12, 2021 Share #6 Posted October 12, 2021 Honeycrisp and I've liked everything with "Jon" in it: Jonathan, Jonared, etc. Supposedly, a doctor instructed a caretaker named Jonathan to cut down a wild apple tree that grew on his property. Jonathan either didn't do a good job or it was one of those stumps that was determined to grow new shoots, but the apple tree grew back and resulted in excellent tasting apples. The doctor named it after Jonathan and sold it - or its cuttings to Stark Bros. or some other similar company.

maddmaxx ★ Posted October 12, 2021 Share #8 Posted October 12, 2021 I still like Granny Smith, both in a pie and for breakfast. To take the sting out of the bite I cut them into small pieces of finger food. Good stuff.

shootingstar Posted October 12, 2021 Share #12 Posted October 12, 2021 Golden Delicious..more yellow-with tinge of green. When a child/teen, I wasn't as enthused about apples vs. pears. So mother used to buy a couple of pears especially for me. So I'm still not an Apple eater experimenter. Ambrosia is a red Apple I don't mind. I don’t care for green apples with it without salt.
