What do you identify as?

A perfectionist. I can't do something wrong or leave anything half arsed. Just can't do it.

I did in one of my videos. I have proof watched them all and fixed errors. But one I left a letter missing in the text and didn't realize it till after I posted it on yt. That one I let go but it haunts me to this day, I can't forget about it and even feel guilty I let it slide. :D

I was an inspector for machine shops for several years manufacturing parts for weapons and aircraft. The deburring and machining departments would describe me as The Picky One. :P

Hey, this sheot's got to be right! :nodhead:

I once got into a debate disagreement with my super. The other inspectors were screwing up everything. I told my super that if he didn't expect them to do their jobs right, maybe I'd screw mine up too if there were  no consequences for their lack of attention to detail. Bunch of hacks!

He said he didn't worry about that because no matter what I said, he knows I am not programmed to do such a thing, He said he knew it was not my nature to do anything incorrect on purpose. He was right, couldn't do it.

Pella Windows top salesman in the Carolinas since 2004.

That's what we had installed (casement windows) in our new home.  And we went with Pella for the front and rear door too.   :)

I am right-ish handed.  Everything I was taught to do I do right-handed but stuff I learned on my own (like shuffle cards) I do like a lefty.

Wow.... that's me...    We must be cloned?   I don't know when I finally realized I dealt card lefty.  One day I just noticed..   I still wonder what else I do lefty and I don't realize I'm different unique.

Why do people have to 'identify'?

Is their own identity as they see themselves not enough?

Or is it because in our high-speed instant society it takes too long to figure out the values and beliefs of other people, so we need to stick a label on them to 'identify' them and be done with it?

Or is it because we need to offer an identity to others so we don't accidentally fall in with the wrong 'tribe'?

{And of course, I understand that Wilbur's post was in fun, because if he were serious about it he wouldn't have posted it on this Forum. ;) )

Identify me as you will, anybody who feels it necessary is welcome to generate their own label for me if they believe they've seen enough of my posts to do so.

Because they feel it is their right to force you to recognize their fantasy as reality.  Lest they be oppressed.  :)

It can be a truth tactic by words....and it's very real, Wilbur.

Especially when people talk about a neighbourhood dominated visually by an ethnic group.  well, excuse me....how many that you see were born in Canada??? Or were babies when they got to Canada.

I don't think he was talking about ethnic origins, I am pretty sure he was referring to the transgender/non-binary/pansexual/cisgender thing in his comment.

BTW...., had never heard of the CBC thing, that is pretty cute

Someone’s identity is not “fantasy” just because you don’t understand their lived experience.

There is no explaining the effects of cranial fissures, for sure.

You can stop trying.  I shan't be woke.  I operate in a very real world. :)

I’m not trying to move your needle. Just stating my own position. My own very real position.

I love the CBC trick that I can use legitimately.. I'm proud to be CBC..even as a tourist when I go visit overseas.

There will be some other RCMP officers who can use it too...meaning the few? are also CBCs.

I have my birth certificate after all.  (I hope I never have to pull it out in the wrong circumstances, like Obama's supporters, had to just to show to the electorate he is American after all.)

Some  people at work have the transgender/non-binary, etc.  in their digital automatic signature ie. she/her.  At work, there have been several employee profiles, where in addition to summarizing interesting parts of their job, they (with their choice/permission) mention their same gender wife/husband, etc......  with photos.  I didn't see this 9-10 yrs. ago within the organization.  Usually employee profiles include bits of personal side which it's entirely up to the employee what they want to say about themselves.

Correct but people read what they want to.  Taint worth arguing.

Yes, I know quite a few actually.  I reached out to one good friend (who is 1st generation immigrant) and asked him if he ever heard of a CBC.  He said yes, but they refer to themselves as "Chinese Born Canadian"

These are confusing times.

I identify as a 6' 4" 220# well hung, American male, 32 years old and never getting older, but with wisdom far beyond my years.

I tenderly love distressed damsels, and am the bar porn stars try to meet.

I am Batman

And a tiny, scared, old man, thinking the world is changing a little too fast.
