Randomguy Posted October 18, 2021 Share #1 Posted October 18, 2021 I taken a good multivitamin and vitamin D for the past couple of years or so. I bought Omega 3's at Trader Joe's tonight and then ordered collagen powder because my joints suck. I will start doing a protein shake most days, too. What are you taking and why? Longjohn ★ Posted October 18, 2021 Share #5 Posted October 18, 2021 I always took a crapton of supplements. Once I started taking so many prescriptions I backed off the supplements. I recently added back in vitamin D&C.

Move Free Ultra from Costco! A little over a week in, and no reason to doubt @2Far yet! That's it. No other vitamins/supplements or meds. I feel like I'm a good test for the Move Free as there are no other variables involved.
Road Runner Posted October 18, 2021 Share #8 Posted October 18, 2021 I take large doses of C, B12 , D3 , and magnesium. I also take CoQ10 to offset the effects of my Lipitor prescription. In addition, I track my fiber, calcium and protein intake from food and supplement as necessary.
MickinMD ★ Posted October 18, 2021 Share #9 Posted October 18, 2021 I take Centrum Silver for Men 50+. I was taking a high dose of Vitamin-D but began to get crystals in my urine in my annual diabetic-related test - the Centrum stuff has enough D I also began to take AREDS2 for my eyes, but the ophthalmologist said she wouldn't bother so I stopped. I had a complete set of heart tests over 3 days in 2011 and was found fine, but the heart specialist recommended daily baby aspirin. There are studies that say it doesn't do much and some that like it. My family doctor says it doesn't hurt, so 1 still take an 81 mg aspirin a day. Very few people come anywhere close to getting the daily recommended amount of calcium in their diets.

Neuriva and Prevagen and many others generally lose a bunch of lawsuits etc., but usually they have gotten popular by then so it doesn't kill them. There are always folks willing to try stuff. Heck, I'm trying the Move Free based on 2Far and apparently several other folks here's recommendations. Gotta trust them more than the paid spokepeople who live in doublespeak world.

Kirby Posted October 18, 2021 Share #19 Posted October 18, 2021 Multivitamin, D and B were suggested by my doctor. Will sometimes take E and fish oils for skin and eyes. Have just recently started trying some things for joints when I realized I was taking aspirin or tylenol too often.
MoseySusan Posted October 18, 2021 Share #20 Posted October 18, 2021 I take a multi-vitamin and a calcium-magnesium-D caplet. I stopped taking a joint care supplement, but I might reconsider.
ChrisL Posted October 18, 2021 Share #21 Posted October 18, 2021 Multivitamin, glucosamine/chondroitin & I read that the use of metformin lowers b-12 so I started taking that recently. Fish oil & 81 aspirin too.

I was tempted, but the money ingredient is way more represented in collagen powder by a large exponent, so I went with that instead. Maybe Move Free's ingredients have a synergistic thing going on, though, who knows? I can always try that later.
