groupw Posted October 21, 2021 Share #1 Posted October 21, 2021 It has been 25 years since we last bought a house. Even then it was in the same city. I kind of knew who to trust based on feedback of others here in town. I don't have that advantage for our likely move soon. Any thoughts on how to seek and vet realtors? jsharr ★ Posted October 21, 2021 Share #3 Posted October 21, 2021 Ask friends who live near you or live in your new city. Word of mouth is your friend here. 2
groupw Posted October 21, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted October 21, 2021 My friend in the Cayman Islands was a realtor when she lived here and in ABQ. She is checking with some people she knows to see who they might know down there.
Wilbur ★ Posted October 21, 2021 Share #5 Posted October 21, 2021 Look for someone who was in the market when you last were. Then get client references.
Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted October 21, 2021 Share #6 Posted October 21, 2021 Check credentials, create a short list, then go to an open house the realtor is holding and 'interview' them as they escort you around the house.
