sheep_herder ★ Posted November 16, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted November 16, 2021 Suppose to settle down after tonight. Anybody hear from our Washington poster? Didn't check the pro football thread to see if Dottie posted there.
Airehead Posted November 17, 2021 Share #4 Posted November 17, 2021 Wind is bothersome. Any weather is worse with it. This an ill wind that blows.

MickinMD ★ Posted November 17, 2021 Share #6 Posted November 17, 2021 We've had a several days of high winds. For the first time on Sunday evening, I wore a coat while putting the garbage out for collection. I couldn't feel a draft, but it was cold near my double-hung windows where I had forgotten to use the window locks to maximize the closure. A couple times, I heard noises due to wind whistling around the corner of the house that I couldn't identify until I tracked them down - a new sound for me. sheep_herder ★ Posted November 17, 2021 Author Share #7 Posted November 17, 2021 Looks like our max recorded was 58mph and in Billings it was 70mph.

Zealot Posted November 17, 2021 Share #9 Posted November 17, 2021 I know it’s a good ways from where you are @sheep_herder, but at my last job, I worked on a large project in Hamilton. Would love to live out there.

I enjoyed the few times I've been there.

The book that ignited a passion in me for reading when I was a child took place on a Christmas Tree farm in the outskirts of Missoula. Fell in love with the place simply in my imagination. 😊

We have a bit of forested land south of here, but it is mainly rangeland. Doubt we'll move anytime soon.

We bought our home 25/26 years ago and it was mostly woods, orchards and farm land around us. Sadly this is changing and it’s mostly high density housing and businesses moving in. We debate moving. We love our home though.

We can escape when we need to.
