I decided 2 years ago to take the money and run... before it (or most of it) is all gone.  

If I live to be something past 90... I made the wrong choice.   Time will tell...

Actually he probably needs to work another couple of months. My brother turned 66 in June but didn't retire until 66 and 2 months. The US government is slowing moving the age for full SS benefits upward a couple of months a year until it becomes 67 years old.
