smudge ★ Posted October 20, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 20, 2013 Dang! My husband went to work on his folks' roof yesterday in Crystal Falls, and he said snow pellets started falling. You're right; too early!
Longjohn ★ Posted October 20, 2013 Share #3 Posted October 20, 2013 Get the cross country skis out and have them ready, that usually makes the snow change it's mind and go away.
Sarah R Posted October 20, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted October 20, 2013 John, I have actually given thought to taking up cross country skiing.
team scooter Posted October 20, 2013 Share #5 Posted October 20, 2013 You can probably blame me for an early winter. I was going to buy a new snowmobile this fall, but bought a new motorcycle instead. Prepare for one of the longest, snowiest winters ever.
Longjohn ★ Posted October 20, 2013 Share #6 Posted October 20, 2013 Cross country skiing is fun and good exercise. I was really into it in the late seventies then I moved out of the snow belt and we had more kids. Life got in the way. Activities that depend on the weather require you to have a lot of free time. You can't plan ahead on cross country skiing in my area because you never know if you are going to have snow. You can ride a bike in the snow but you can't ski without it. Gump Posted October 21, 2013 Share #10 Posted October 21, 2013 We're supposed to see snow by the end of the week. Which is ok as Saturday is opening day of deer season.
Mr. Silly Posted October 21, 2013 Share #11 Posted October 21, 2013 There's talk of snow later in the week. I doubt it will come to anything.
