ChrisL Posted January 6, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 6, 2022 I have ranted here before about an office manager I have gotten into it with a few times. So today she pulled one of the stupidest moves I have ever seen. She had been out on PTO as her daughter is sick. She came to work today hacking & coughing. Coworkers complained so our HR sent her to take a covid test which came back positive. She’s then told not to return to the office. So I walk up to the building (I reside in a different building on the same campus) and see her car as I’m walking towards the door. WTF, why is her car here??? Just at that moment she comes out of the door, walks right up to me and as I’m backing away says I have to leave, I have covid. I tell her if you have covid why are you talking to me, leave! She then continues to walk towards me and I’m backed up against a wall & tries to explain to me how she got it. I let her get about three words out when I yell at her, GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!!!! She gets the hint & then leaves. We both had masks on and for about 15 seconds we’re about 4’ from one another… How stupid do you have to be to one, come to work sick, two come back in the office when you know you are positive for covid and three try to engage a person in dialogue that you have covid? Me, her coworker and my team all test tomorrow. I have filed a complaint with our boss & HR. My boss was pretty hot but isn’t one to fire people. Maybe HR will force his hand. Some people are so fucking stupid. 3 1

Were they admitted to the hospital or just show, get seen, and then go home? The latter certainly isn’t being “hospitalized” in any sense. I don’t know anyone who got COVID, went to the ER and were kept there just because they tested positive. No room in the inn, they were only hospitalized in subsequent visits when they were off the charts bad. If it ain’t bad, you go home and wait it out until you are in a world of bad, so this is all very muddy if the claim is “almost half of hospitalized COVID cases came in for something else but were only classified as COVID ”. I suspect that hospitals don’t list just one cause for hospitalization, hospitals may be or probably are listing all the reasons, however numerous. Also keep in mind stat-padding the other way in some of the red hat areas who reportedly underreported/underrepresented positive cases and hospitalizations because it fit their narratives, too. I don’t trust the cherry-picked data or the assertions made from it in isolation all that much, just that it probably balances out in the bigger picture.
