I'm fine with 65 at night and 68 during the day. 58 would be tough.

I generally like 73° in the Winter and that worked for me in my other house, my pre-fire house, and the apartment.

But in the rebuilt house it seems a little cold and 75° seems perfect: I like to wear shorts, undershorts, a tee shirt and sandals in the house most of the time.

The desired temperature difference may have a lot to do with having one thermostat in the house and slightly different air flow now than previously.

The thermometer on my bedroom radio/alarm clock reads 3 degrees cooler, summer and winter, than the living room thermostat, though I don't know how accurate it is.

That's cool enough for me to sleep comfortably with a sheet to cover me and no blanket.

With my winter heat usage cut almost to 1/3 of previous years (79 therms of nat. gas. in Dec. '21 vs 220 in Dec. 2019 and 212 in Dec. 2018 - heating the 2nd floor and back porch only in '21, similar results in November comparisons) because of the high-efficiency furnace and the perfectly sealed and well-insulated house, I don't think I'd be much greener if I put on more clothes and dropped the thermostat.  I'm thrilled with how much less I'm paying for gas & electricity even though the unit prices are up.
