I should move more often!

Last Friday we had a small farewell gathering with friends we know are careful, vaccinated and mask. The owner of the brewpub bought our doorstep round! Today we had to sign papers at the title office for sale of our house. It was close to Wave Pizza so we stopped for a final pizza before we go. It was after the standard lunch hour so the owner waited on us and asked questions about our move. When I went to pay he said it was on him!  
On the way home, I stopped to grab a pound of Zabuni coffee before we leave. Laban, the owner was in. He is a friend on FB. I bought a pound of Bingwa. He tossed in a pound of the new Ethiopian coffee they just started selling! 
Pretty nice way to say goodbye, guys!

Plus when you pack  you'll find all that stuff you lost over the years.  And some stuff you don't remember you ever had.

Exciting.  Right after you move in, everything is clean and put away for a bit.

Then you pack it all into a box, and it ends up in my basement.   So in 10 to 20 more years...   (assuming someone doesn't give my stuff away) I can find it again.

Good luck on your big adventure!  Definitely some excitement moving and starting something new, but also memories from the old place will stick around for a while.  Still, a GREAT send-off.

Found my wedding ring! It’s been missing for over a year. I figured we would find it under a cabinet that was difficult to move thinking it had fallen on the floor and rolled under. Somehow it was in a box with some jewelry of WoW’s I had used for a photo project! No idea how it got there!

I have one last pickup load to toss tomorrow. The landfill transfer station tellers know my name and move date!

Nope. This move was an eye opener! We are going to be more mindful of what is brought in and what it will replace. We have been much more disciplined in what we acquire in recent years. No basement so it eliminates that issue!
