Are you and your family multilinguistic?

mr. is more fluent in Spanish than I am. I grew up with it, but didn’t study.

We really like the Spanish music station while driving. So, I found a Pandora collection we can listen to without the morning radio chatter.

My grandparents and great aunts/uncles listened to ranchera, Banda, Nortena. It was always playing in their houses. My mom’s generation rejected their parent’s music and listened to Elvis, Motown, rock bands, pop music. At weddings there was a blend of the two…some Mexican, some pop.

Linda Rondstadt went back to her roots as she got older. I had no idea she was Latino until a few years ago.
