An L-29 Delfin runs 40-50k. The operating costs are a lot different. It is mostly high net worth guys that buy them and learn to fly them. If a pilot buys them, they put them to work doing aerobatics or fighter simulations. I know a guy who is negotiating the purchase and import of two F-16's right now. That will be a 10mm dollar purchase. You can buy what I am flying for 15 mm on the used market. A long way from the 60mm dollar new price.
