And yes I switch to felt when it gets cold

I'd guess we have a different definition of what is cold.

Knit hats,

This ^^^   and when it gets cold (for us)  I also use the hood of my North Face jacket to stop the wind.   The hat is warm, but with the hood, I'm good to temps down below zero.

Unlike this guy...

Don't forget..  Jack moved to the Overlook Hotel.

I suspect he probably moved from some state that wasn't cold.  If he did move from a cold climate state, he would have known about knit hats.

A good toque. I own many.

A Mad Bomber is good too.  Get the real fur not the fake stuff.  Makes a huge difference.  I have 2 of them.  Also several toque that WoD_P spun and knitted out of wool from our own sheep.  Those are some of our best selling items at the reenactments.

My phone says its  -4 out right now.

The highest the car temp gauge got on the trip up here today was 15, it spent the vast majority of the trip in single digits.

I don't like it. This cold hurts. Your ears may freeze if you don't have a proper hat

I didn't bring gloves....my tire inflation light came on tonight

That happened to my cat last winter. Now he has mini-ears, it looks cute.

Awww. :(

The edges of my ears turned grayish and look misshaped, like a huge caterpillar chewed chunks out along the edges. The times it happened to me, I was snowmobiling and wearing a thin balaclava and a cheap helmet at minus 30/40 degrees. Young and foolish.

Thankfully snowmo clothing has improved since the 70s. :nodhead:

I guess you get a pretty bad wind chill at those speeds and temps!
