I have no fish taco plans. There’s some leftover spicy shrimp (ala @Old No. 7’s recipe) I could make into tacos. It would give me a chance to play with my tortilla press.

Shrimp tacos are tasty. Close enough in spirit!

I kinda wish we had Rubios out here, but I know it wouldn’t be the same. We used to eat at the one near Mission Bay in San Diego. I like fish tacos but I’m not making any soon.

Lately we have been eating at Wahoos which is another local fish taco joint.  Their menu is a bit more diverse than Rubio’s but I like Rubio’s fish tacos better.

I went for years thinking "fish tacos" didn't sound appealing.... then a friend made me some.  All those years wasted!  I would hope to have mine with some seasoned rice, cole slaw, kimchi and sriracha.

I went through this with my MIL. Do you like fish & chips?  Yes.  Do you like tacos? Yes.  It’s basically a piece of fried fish like fish & chips in a taco.  Stinky face…

Whatever, stay in your bubble…

I've luckily moved on from that place in life.  I had a long list of "No!" foods as a kid.  Life is better now.

Generally, if someone else will eat it, I'll eat it.  I still avoid something like brain or a variety of offal, but even those would be circumstantial in nature.
