BR46 Posted January 26, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 26, 2022 F%&&&&&kk Wo46 and I were working in the garage on the Monkey Business machine when I pulled out the oil filter like I do after every race weekend. I guess I'm dropping the pickup screen out to see what I find. All I know is something has more clearance than it Daytona.

I can't help much, but I will say I am proud you have the right to repair that! But I think I would just replace it. 1
Dirtyhip Posted January 26, 2022 Share #3 Posted January 26, 2022 Oof. You have some shavings there. is this like the moment where HoDH brought me a sample of the metal shavings and then we bought a new truck right after?

maddmaxx ★ Posted January 26, 2022 Share #5 Posted January 26, 2022 That's a lot of metal. Crank bearings? Or ring lands?

Popular Post jsharr ★ Posted January 26, 2022 Popular Post Share #7 Posted January 26, 2022 Lighter weight is faster. Change the oil and filter and enjoy your new found speed.... BTW are you running a Kia engine by any chance? 1

They should by law be outfitted with a halon system and a fire detector.

Heck she might even notice the Kia engine too! 2

I taped on the float bowl and it stopped leaking so we are good to go.....I guess. Wo46 calmly said...if you burst into flames I will hit the kill switch before I jump off. My testicles are pretty much in the carburetors.
maddmaxx ★ Posted January 26, 2022 Share #11 Posted January 26, 2022 I still think that fiber optics similar to those used on the 67 Corvette would be good for this. In the picture you can see the upper set that monitored the headlights high and low beam and turn signals and below the shifter is the tail light group. For Kia one more from the engine compartment should light up red in case of a fir http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v399/Eddie70/DSC00160.jpg Picture won't imbed, others below.

The engine needs air and fuel to make power. You need to remove what prevents that...

maddmaxx ★ Posted January 27, 2022 Share #16 Posted January 27, 2022 The rest of us racers use tennis balls to keep dirt out of the carb or injector throats.
