Wo46 and I were working in the garage on the Monkey Business machine when I pulled out the oil filter like I do after every race weekend.

I guess I'm dropping the pickup screen out to see what I find. All I know is something has more clearance than it Daytona.

I can't help much, but I will say I am proud you have the right to repair that! :happyanim:

But I think I would just replace it. :dontknow:

Lighter weight is faster.  Change the oil and filter and enjoy your new found speed....

BTW are you running a Kia engine by any chance?

Kia engines catch fire before the chips make it to the filter.  They should by law be outfitted with a halon system and a fire detector.

The monkey would surely notice the flaming unit between @BR46's legs, no?  Heck she might even notice the Kia engine too!

One day we were about to head out on the track for a race and I noticed that one carburetor had a sticky float and started leaking gas. I taped on the float bowl and it stopped leaking so we are good to go.....I guess.

My testicles are pretty much in the carburetors.

I still think that fiber optics similar to those used on the 67 Corvette would be good for this.  In the picture you can see the upper set that monitored the headlights high and low beam and turn signals and below the shifter is the tail light group.

For Kia one more from the engine compartment should light up red in case of a fir
