Indeed.  To get to the transmission, the wheelie bar, rear body mount shelf, engine control unit shelf, motor, clutch, sway bars and mounts and inner control arm pins all have to be removed.  That's assuming you know how to extract the transmission without removing anything else.  Then the transmission itself needs to be opened.  There are easily 30 screws and several parts involved.  The real question is from looking at that mess do I know which screw goes back in which hole and in what order.

Good thing it is not a Kia, as most of those parts would be on back order.
